Life sucks

As all of you know, I'm an animal lover and have nine animals, including the triplet kittens adopted recently. Well, after having to have my pureblood Sheltie, Sasha put down earlier this week, it was discovered the triplet's got distemper. Triquettra died earlier tonight (sad story about that). Both Mordred and Carmel were showing signs of it and we were forced to leave the other two at the gate of the animal shelter tonight.

Before anyone judges me for "abandoning' the kittens, imagine how you would feel after a day of nursing a dying kitten, watching the life in him die, and then seeing the other two you were about to have to watch die. I couldn't do it and my Mere was worse off them me as she kept freaking out, (she doesn't deal well with death). I just couldn't do it. I know I should have kept them but this way I know that someone will be there when they die...something I couldn't do with Triquettra...

We went from nine animals to five with the chance of losing the other four cats.

I just keep remembering leaving the carrier at the shelter (they weren't open yet so we left it where it would be spotted earlier this morning...and left the babies blankets and all that), and thinking that they had no idea why I was leaving them behind...

They were probably going "Uh...mom...you forgot something...mom..."

Okay so I'm imagining that but still.

Yes, they were my cuties.

sorry things went down like that. i'd feel god awful if anything happened to my baby pixie. i'm sure the kittens will be alright at the shelter. *hugs*
