I originally wasn't going to post this because it contains a lot of expensive items...but it's tradition so I'm posting.

For this Christmas I recived:

An xbox 360 (yes, I finally caved and gave into the xbox...still worship Nintendo more).
A shiny new digital camera (yay, more pictures..though my cats are now running away every time they see me with it).
New pots and pans (including a new flat grill and a new waffle maker)
An Amazon Kindle (which I already worship, if just for the black jack)
A new virtual gift for my LJ profile
$30 gift card for a used book store (which I already spent, bought some Erma Bombeck and Agatha Christie)
A new ipod (which I am not allowed to wash like I did the last one)
$20 cash from Grandmere which I spend on a gift basket of smores stuff and something else I can't remember).
And a new handbag for myself.

Hope you guys got everything you wanted...and that the day was magical!

'm slightly tipsy from the wine grandmere gave me for Christmas so hopefully this is at least slightly coherent.

Christmas was...good this year. I was just so slightly depressed leading up to it as I had the stomach flu (couldn't actually attend Chrismas festivities due to it...can't go near Grandmere when I'm sick due to her kidney failure), but...I'm happy, so it's all good.

Grandmere gave me the bottle of wine I mentioned, and...a thirty year old china cabinet she got from Grandpere Bob, the man I truly consider my grandfather (she married him ages ago, he was the only maternal grandfather I knew until she married Grandpere Jim when I was eightish). The only downside to this gift is that Grandmere gave it to Debbie Scott (I'm sure I've ranted about that bitch before) to store, and the dumb bitch broke the mirror backing. She (Debbie not Grandmere) also refuses to replace it...I'm tempted to spend tomorrow screaming at her, though I think I don't get to (part of the whole 'being an adult' bit...still, would give me pleasure).

She also gave me three pairs of earrings. Sterling silver amythiest earrings...three pairs. When the hell did Grandmere start paying attention enough to notice A. I have three holes in each ear, B. I only wear sterling silver on the rare occasion I wear jelwery, and C. that I adore amythiests? Damn she's getting good.

She gave mum a crock pot (ours broke recently), a panini machine...and for some bizzare reason, a tea pot set with kittens. Mum actually asked her if she mis-labeled the gift as mum doesn't drink tea and doesn't like kittens. I, however, as everyone knows, collects kittens and drinks tea by the jug. But nope, it was for mum...for today, I'm stealing it tomorrow *grins*

Mum did good by me this year (again, she's getting better), she gave me a stuffed English Bulldog (she said she bought it since she couldn't afford a real one...and I normally get one stuffed animal for Chistmas since Cabbage Patches became too expensive), a Disney Princess art set for those days I'm stuck sick in bed (I knew about this one before hand and kept trying to get it from her so I could pay with it while I had the flu, but no dice). I also got a gift card for a game site (sadly not neopets, but still good), a hand stitched rose wall hanging (sooo cute!), and a handmade stuffed cat that's been living on my bed for the past week (I got her early since I was so sick...I named her Sally and made a request for a black one to name Jack).

I got mum a set of Mickey Mouse dishes (four plates, four salad plates, four bowls), a Tigger Mug with stuffed toy, as well as a 25$ gift card to WalMart. It was supposed to be for bedsheets for her new bed (I couldn't find any Pooh twin sheets), but she changed her mind to a Salad Shooter which is a yay for me!

I also got the most wonderful LJ gifts from some very dear friends. Thank you guys, for them. They made me smile every time I needed them this week (yes, I did stare at my profile just to see them while sick).

Beyond that...it's been rather quiet. No snow this year *pouts* but I'm feeling better and it was a nice day.

The only downside...we had to surrender Clifford the Dog (he's the golden one) to animal control due to Clifford's worsening health (he has severe asthma, is deaf, and blind enough that he severely bit mum a week ago). We surrendered him on Dec. 24th so mum was depressed most of Christmas Eve.

I hope your Christmas was just as happy, and those friends of mine that celebrate the other winter holidays (I slept through Yule...), I hope they were as wonderful as they're meant to be. And hopefully Santa gets a nice three month holiday *grins*

PS: Mary, Jo, Val: I suck. I didn't even get your cards out. Mary, mum bought you something awsome that I will try to get out next month (er, if we can find it...this is why we shouldn't buy presents in Sept), Val, I can't find my beading thread, but I promise, by your birthday I will pick up some more (yes, I know your birthday is next Sept), Jo...I have no idea but if you get Santa cookies in March you'll know who they're from! Merry Christas and Happy Yule my darlings.

If you want a Christmas card, you have until Monday to either reply with your snailmail addy (paper card) or email address (e-card).

I know it’s short notice, I forgot about it actually.
