saitainaI wasn't going to tell you this, even refrained from writing in my LJ about it to keep it from you ...but it's bugging me so here I go.
You know I love you, and adore you, and want you to be happy right? Well, recently I haven't been and it's all your fault. Okay, not really, it's completely my fault.
You see, when I was a kid, I only dreamed of two things, being famous, and being a wife and mother. It doesn't help that all of the women in my family married very young, my grandmothers from early teens to the age of twenty and my mother at twenty five. As I'm now twenty three, makes me feel a little old.
Now you're getting married to a WONDERFUL guy, and I'm here with only one date to my name. It makes me feel rather jealous. I mean, I have my future wedding planned from the invites (beauty and the beast) to the cake topper (Cinderella's Castle, unless I get the Alice in Wonderland cake I saw). So yeah, makes me very, VERY jealous sometime.
Now, I'm not saying this to make you feel bad or to have you stop telling me all the fun wedding stuff, I'm just hoping you understand why sometimes I seem...distant or distracted about the stuff. I promise I'll try to get my head more into the game and get over it, I just thought you should know. Just poke me if I start getting down about it.
And you should know, despite my jealousy, I can't wait to get out there and start helping more. Hey, I get to wear pretty, pretty dress, walk down the aisle looking gorgeous...and don't get stuck with a hubby after...it's a perfect day for me. :)
I wub you tons and am very happy to be your maid of honor..even if you are an evil wench who got married first. :)

Date: 2004-01-26 05:52 am (UTC)I don't think I mentioned that my 9 years younger sister got married about 5 years ago? I was maid of honor too. I nearly cried. And I beat you on the date thing too. I'm 34 now, and not one date, ever. That will teach me to spend my teen years with a horse. ;)
