saitaina: (Beauty and the Beast-gen)
how much HELL it is, getting a tooth pulled. Even going back and reading my journal entry from the last time (way back in the dark ages) couldn't prepare me for this pain. IT especially sucks, because this time around, I'm a chain smoker...my nicotine receptors aren't just freaking out, they're having a full on psycotic episode...and it's only been three days.

I also have broncitis, the last of my measels rash, and the illness left over from the infection in my tooth/gums. Thus making for a bed ridden Saity. *gags*

Mum's home now and doing good, since they fixed her medication (her anti-psycotic or whatever it is was actually making her suicidal, a rare side-effect of the drug). So that makes me happy, not having to worry about her for the moment.

We've been batting around plans for something to make up for her being in the hospital during my birthday. So far she's decided on paying for my next tat (a black stemed purple rose), and taking me up to Salem, to see the capital building, (I have a facination with govement buildings like that...probably from being intrested in politics from an early age).

The trip to Canada is on hold since A. We wouldn't be able to get out passports by summer, and B. We have another project we're working on that we need to save up for, and that's hard when we owe Grandmere 200$ by the 3rd of Febuary and have maybe a buck each.

And here's a bit of fun irony, our LEIP (a low-income help source for gas bills) came through, giving us 250$ to put towards gas....and our heater broke the same day. Since our heater is the only thing that runs on gas...it's kind of a bang your head against the wall situation. We've been trying for the past week to fix the heater, but I have a feeling it's finally died on us, and no amount of kicking, yelling or fiddling will get it working again.

RIP Ugly Heater, you served us well...
Up until you died in 17 degree weather.

I keep hoping that the money sitch going on right now won't depress mum (it's one of her triggers). There's a lot we have to buy/save up for/pay, but if we take it one bill/moment at a time, we should, eventually, recover. It's just going to be tough until then.

We're still having problems finding me a new doctor. Either they don't take my state insurence (yay being poor!), or they're not taking new patients, or I've already seen them and hate them. Mum's getting so desperate she almost called my former doctor and was going to tell him 'I have no right to cancel seeing him' as a ploy to get me back in (which often works, considering my social problems, we can sometimes smooth over a temper tantrum that way), but thankfully, before she could, I put my foot down and refused, on no uncertain terms, to see a man who called me a liar and did nothing to help me but throw pills at me.

It sucks, if only because some of my main scripts are coming up for renewal (Zoloft for depression/mood swings and Seroquil for sleepy time), but we're hoping to get mum's psych doctor to see me for those. And I have a year left of my birth control so I don't need a new OBGYN yet (*does the happy dance of not having to cry during an exam anymore*)

TMI: For the curios of why a celebrate woman needs BC )

So, despite being sick, poor, cold and stuck in bed, life's pretty good. I've gotten to play tons of games (computer and DS), catch up on some reading, talked with friends and had a Charmed marathon (I'm up to the begining of season 4).

Plus, I got to lay in bed, warm, sleepy, and watch the snow fall outside while reading one of my favorite communities, [livejournal.com profile] customers_suck. It was a happy moment (plus I had Atem the Kitten puring next to me.

...that's it for now! *toddles off to find pain pills*
