I want to brutally and bloodily murder whomever's brilliant idea it was to come up with father's day. The comerical's are driving me insane.

Do these people not think of how those of us without fathers (or without father's worth remembering) would feel over this shit?

Makes me dread the first mother's day after mum dies, because I have a feeling I'm going to put my foot through a telly set.

I hate Mother's and Father's Day commercials for the rampant sexism. Mommy gets pwetty flowers and jewelry and pink iPods, and Daddy gets (*throws voice down an octave*) rugged manly-man power tools and bigscreen TVs (*thumps chest and grunts a few times*). Maybe Mommy wants accessories for her motorcycle and a kickass new leather jacket, and Daddy wants books and a new teapot, ever think of that? Hm? HM? Stupid gender roles.
