saitaina | Travel and adventure...not quite.

So I'm filling out these travel contests/sweepstakes and just robotically entering information, not really paying attention to anything including the destination. I mean, I'm willing to go to the opening of a box so long as it's not here.

Basically, I'm willing to go anywhere...

Well...not quite.

I happen to glance up and something catches my eye. It's the prize for the sweep I'm halfway filling out.

I almost entered myself to win a trip to Crater Lake...in the grand state of Oregon.

A location which, not only have I been to (don't ask me when, I have very blurry memories, I remember...the lake and that's about it. Nothing else of the trip), but is almost exactly two hours away from where I live.

Granted I would love to go again, but I dont' really need to win a contest to go.

So I left my slot for someone else who might be DYING to visit Crater Lake, Oregon and moved on the the Transilvania sweep (a chance to visit Dracula's castle and tomb, go me!).

Makes me wonder how many other contests/sweeps I've entered with odd prizes (like the three piece Martha Steward BBQ set...literally, three pieces...wow, wonderful prize :Þ)
