If you don’t care about the quality of writing for three out of five stories you’re writing, actually like two, and are writing chapters for all five at once…

All your stories end up sucking.

*headdesk* Guess this proves I should actually give a damn about all my writing and not just my baby series’ (plus giving a damn might help me avoid the re-writes I now have to do to “Tainted” because I screwed over a plot twist/device/moment/whatever).

And why, for the love of mansex do I get three pieces of crap for every one nice, beautiful piece? Shouldn’t talent be even and not subject to…oh I don’t know, the words ‘the end’.

Also, muses for the DCMK “Dance” Series (Magician’s Waltz, Illusionist’s Ball)…yeah, giving me the beginning of “Conjurer’s Masquerade” without the rest of “Illusionist’s Ball” does not help, as I’m now going WTF and wondering how we got there. (And why the hell am I writing a trilogy?! I didn’t even want to write a bloody sequel!) Also, I don’t think my readers are going to enjoy “Hardcore Science”, “Slight Magic”, “Mystical Bullshit that makes no sense outside of MK and maybe Harry Potter and even then it’s a little iffy”. See, they started reading MW BECAUSE of the science, and the fact it wasn’t magical and shiny…so why are we suddenly switching gears?!

And on the subject of Dance GIVE ME THE REST OF CHAPTER THREE! I’ve been staring at these pages for two weeks now! 2,512 is not a happy word count when we don’t even have the two main points of the damn chapter and no real lead in (actually it’s never a happy word count when my goal is 10,000 words a chapter which I have yet to reach in IB). I appreciate we have some character movement (not development of course because my writing is in a sucky zone) but I would really like to start introducing the plot (or at least the villain), not to mention moving along so I can figure out how to start connecting threads to the (whatever a third part is called) so that I can wrap up this bloody series and get you lot OUT OF MY HEAD!

I don’t even work this hard on my original works… *cries*
