Barter System Anyone?

I want to go back to the old system of exchanging goods or services for goods or services. Do away with all this money nonesense.
I mean really, WHY did it die out? Wouldn’t it make life easier? YOu wouldn’t have to work, not really (unless you like your job or being a craftsman which would make you rich in the system). You simply trade what you have for something you need. Easy no? There would be no more waiting around till pay day, there would be none of this price gouging. You simply trade an item or service for another and all are happy.
For example, I detest housework…okay I just detest any form of work period. But I enjoy making things. I could find someone who loves to clean and mow and that and create things for them, art, stories, craft stuffs, even cooking, and we would have a perfect relationship.
This could work between neighbors, between friends. Even big buisness. They provide a service, you provide them one (dunno what yet but we can figure that out later).
There would be no need for welfare, no need for Social Security, bills, debt, any of that. It’s all done in instantious transactions where you give up something for something out out needing money. You don’t get what you can’t give, you don’t ask for more then what your service is worth…
There is no downside. You could get a bunch of flowers from the freeway, make a pretty arrangement and voila, payment for a dress for a night out.
Whose with me on this idea? We can start small, in our neighborhoods, families and with friends. We can teach this to our children and change the world in a few generations!
(Disclaimer: Saitaina has had about five mini chocolate bars from her bowl of Halloween candy and takes no responsobility for her actions. She does however stand behind the Barter/Trade idea.)
