A Letter to a Friend

This is a copy of a letter I wrote to a friend, then realized I haven’t related it here. Yes some of it’s boring, but it’s pretty much an update of my life currently.

Hey darling-

Any word on when Tru’s starting back up? Or have I completely missed it?

I fee completely swamped in swaps right now, I’m like three behind and have two weeks to get them out. I now have to pull trouble babysitting shifts after stupidly agreeing to pay for Mere’s glasses. I’ll be glad when the holidays are over and I can focus again. I’ve got some ideas for your Yule gifts, but not sure yet. Mary’s easiest, I’m buying her two books…and the present I never got her last year (a Tinkerbell doll as she’s a huge Tink fan). Mere I’m buying new dishes, she
found some Pooh ones in the Disney catalog she loves.

Oh, there’s some news regarding Grandpere (remember, he has altzimers and tends to stress everyone out). Well…he’s been getting violent lately
and Grandmere was going to send him to a home after the holidays but they went out to Iowa to visit Uncle David and Tante Karen…and apparently it was
REAL bad. Grandmere’s even coming home early. David and Mere finally convinced her to put him in a home sooner.

This of course gave me a weird dream where he died and you and Rach came out to help me deal. I mean, he’s my Grandpere, the only other father figure I have beyond Uncle Mike. Shall be very stressful when it actually happens…though hopefully unlike my dream, Great Grandmere Dee won’t be here. That would be a stressful event in and of it self as half the family doesn’t speak with her (although no one remembers why…we’ve perfected the decade long grudge).

I hope everything’s well out there with everyone. I would write more but I have to go stop Mordred from picking a fight with my printer,
Caramel my dress and Triquettra from getting his arse kicked by Piglet (the other cats are adjusting to the new ones…well, Piggy and Shortly are, Sophia hisses every time she sees them and Sherby looks at them like they’re little bugs that are going to poison him).
