But I have reasons!
1. The broken images were annoying me and I'm too lazy to fix them.
2. It's October.
3. Kaito Kid IS technically a costume.

Fine, I just have a huge fangirl crush on Kaito Kid right now and wanted to see his face every time I looked at my journal. There, I admited it.
And for those who don't know who the hell is in my layout, it's Kaito Kid, alter ego of Kuroba Kaito from Detective Conan (Case Closed)/Magic Kaito. Also known as the Phantom Theif amongst other things. *happy fangirl sigh* a cool thief with a good heart. My kind of guy. I could go on and on and on and ...you get the idea.

Conan Manga Viewer (I HIGHLY recomend reading the Volumes/Files Kid shows up in in the Detective Conan manga rather then Magic Kaito...unless you want to see him look like a dork.)
Guba.com (search for Detective Conan Movie for best results, I HIGHLY recomend movie 8: The Magician of the Silver Sky for maximum Kid...though Movie 10: The Private Eye's Requium is rather good as well).
And for those who actually look him up...yes, that is a card gun. Kid is purely non lethal (and tries not to hurt anyone at all, despite all the people trying to kill him).
And a random note of the day to prove being away 32hrs if bad for your health...watching 12+hrs of Japanese anime, in their original form, in a row...will lead to the viewer speaking in a rotten Japanese accent without noticing it (mum yelled at me until I realized I was doing it). I desperately need sleep, someone knock me out.

-one of the biggest difference I see between MK and DC is that in MK, we get a behind-the-scenes look at Kaito prepping everything for Kid Heists. He was always sauve when on the stage, so to speak.
In DC, all we see is the show, not so much the prep work. So he could still be scrambling around by the skin of his teeth like he is in MK, we just don't see it anymore.
Have you seen the 10th movie yet? Much Kid fun in it. ^____^ And we get Saguru!

Yes, but still, the diffrences in the drawnings help too, he LOOKS cooler...older, not the kid who just learned who he was and is trying to figure out how to play the role.
I would almost compare it to him being about two years older if I didn't think both were actually when he was seventeen. Two years to get locked into who he was and how he was going to play the game (and not just be a n imitation of his father).
Of course that could just be another side effect of just seeing 'the show'. Kid was always far more cool and collected then his counter part (though...not always. There are some moments with the true Kaito shining through).

I have! I have seen nearly every eppisode of anime and every episode of manga Kid shows up in (repeatedly...I call it research, not oogling). That movie is awsome, not just for the fact Kid appears three times (and is awsome himself), but the storyline makes it WORTH watching, espeically for someone who was getting bored with the predicatablity of the show (it renewed my taste for it in fact).
I just wonder A. Who they had in Miricle Land for Saguru and B. Where did he run off to? It's never explained what Mini Holmes when to investigate after saving Conan.

It's bookmarked in my 'research' notes for Magician's waltz...or when I need a Kid fix and don't wnat to load manga/anime. *grins* Right next to some of my favorite fanfiction.
