Owww - Update
Aug. 7th, 2010 12:56 pmI have discovered that the worst pain after a minior accident is in your hands, my second and third knuckle joints are killing me (from where I had my hands tighgtened on the wheel to control the car) and it's a bitch to move them.
The next worse pain is my hip/lower back from where it slammed into the driver's door (no, I was not wearing a seatbelt, yes, I am fucking lucky), plus stress to the areas where I 'tightened up' to better control the pedals and steering (for those that don't regularly drive at high speeds, there are some turns where you have to tighten your hip and leg muscles to better keep you in place/balance your weight while making turns, unfotunately for the turn and control I had to do to keep in the lane/from spinning out/crashing into everyone else on the freeway, I had to tighten the same side of the body that had just hit the door, so I aggrivated the injuries).
Beyond that, it's just minor aches that are usually associated with holding a car steady at 80 when it's trying to spin out, such as calf pain and some arm pain from controlling the wheel.
I think for a while I'll be doing 40-60 mph instead of my usual speed until this pain goes away, too risky...which sucks as I was going to have fun this weekend on some back roads *pout face*
(Note: Do not learn by example and go at high speeds without A. Training, B. Experience, C. Both and a lot of fucking luck. It's not just dangerous, it's deadly, even the best die. Speed limits are there for a reason /end PSA)
