I hate doctors...
Nov. 4th, 2003 03:13 pmWell, mum met with her ENT today. He did a nasoscope and spotted a "bad patch". He won't tell us what it is. He wants to try her on some antacids before doing more work but he thinks it could be early stage throat cancer.
My mother...more than likely...has cancer. It's a hard thing to accept, even through I've been trying for the past month (we knew it was a possibility). I'm only twenty-three, she's only forty-eight. We shouldn't be facing mortality yet. My mom's supposed to be young forever and die at the age of 150...not forty eight.
I made my mother swear today that she won't die and leave me with Grandma. Don't know if she'll keep that promise but it made me smile.

Date: 2003-11-05 11:57 am (UTC)I'm so sorry. But, like others have said, it is good that it's been caught early, when you've got the maximum chance of a full recovery. I'm hoping for the best for you and your family. *Hugs*
