I’m getting sick of SeaWorld San Diego.

What a bunch of bullshit. They’re wild animals, they may play pretty and do cute tricks but they are still ANIMALS, and they would just as well bite the hand that feeds them then play nicely, as two trainers have discovered in less then a MONTH.

They are not fluffy teddy bears to be shown off as harmless. I’ve seen the show, more then a few times. It’s cute and fun but it doesn’t give any hint to the danger that such animals possess.

Thankfully, I learned the lesson of how dangerous Killer Whales were from a very young age. It’s something I grew up with, considering the story of my uncle saving a Sea World’s trainer’s life (Yes, at Sea World, San Diego, funny how these things happen) is often told when the family gets together (he won an award and was quite proud of it. How many people do you know that jump in a tank with an attacking whale?)

But the children that go to the parks these days, DON’T get those lessons. They just see the fun, not the danger behind it. I’m waiting for a news report of some kid who jumped in the water to play with the whales and was brutally attacked.

I’ve fed these whales at that park (if you stay after the last show you can sometimes watch/help the trainers in a smaller tank), it wouldn’t be that hard for a kid, already standing on the rail above the smaller tank, to fall/jump in. Hell I wanted to do it and I was 17 (and thankfully smarter as I did’t).

But beyond that, where the HELL were the rescue swimmers/divers?! I know they have them, I’ve seen them. Isn’t it their job to go in and you know, RESCUE a trainer that’s been under water for a minute and a half?! (Okay so half a minute and then a minute but I don’t think he got much air in between).

Okay so yes, Orca’s (Killer Whales) have been known to feed on other whales, but a grouping of humans is a lot quicker (and easier to spread out) then another whale. Thus the rescue divers need to lay off the beer runs and actually do their fucking jobs.

On other notes, mum got a new mutt, Asia. The family (other animals included) voted 11-2 that the dog leaves. She is an annoying bitch who will not stop barking/chasing the cats/bothering me/attacking the cats/bothering the HELL out of me/ect.

Sadly mum over ruled us and says that Asia is staying.

Stupid dog.
