I was just asked by my best friend to betray my boyfriend’s trust by finding out a secret of his so she can tell his mother who will tell his shrink.

I feel so torn. I honestly don’t know what to do.

Should I find out the information so that they can possibly help him and risk him being utterly betrayed? Should I keep my silence and keep his trust while possibly damaging him in the long run by not getting him the help he needs? Which do I, as a person who loves and supports him choose? Not to mention this secret could have ramifications for other relationships, not only ours. What do I do in the best intrest of those relationships? How do I do what’s best for everytone, and not ruin everything for everyone?

I need holp and can’t ask anyone about this.
