Odd Memory

For some reason today I was just sitting here when I suddenly remember an incident that happened when I was sixteen with my grandmother (maybe the upcoming holiday where I'll be forced to spend time with her is bringing it up).

Anyway, we were in Burger King and for some reason I was reciting the presidents backwards, you know, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Regan, so on and so forth.

Well, I got to Ford and whomever came after him and my Grandmere suddenly tells me I'm wrong...I stopped and mentally went through them all and told her no, I had it right. We argued over it for about five minutes before I stood up and left the restrant in tears.

Granted it may not seem like a small thing but when I learned the presidents I had my hand slapped HARD with a ruler every time I got it wrong, I KNEW the order.

Anyway, turns out, after I had left, sobbing, a woman leaned over from the next booth over and informed my Grandmere, not only was I right, but that she had been rude while being wrong.

God I wish I could have seen that.

My grandmere lived through most of these presidents, she should know the blood order. *huffs*
