Yeah, I've dropped out of the fantasy world for a bit until the dragon craze dies down. Nothing against them, just not interested. and I'm definetely staying away from my main genre of vampires until You-Know-Who stops writing. It's sad, there are no decent vampire writers these days (then again, my own WiP contains incest and violence against the church as well as screwing with religion so there you go, people will probably say the same about me).
I've also been into Dan Brown lately. Granted, his works are utter rubbish in terms of facts, but he does tell a decent story, and I like a decent mystery with a bit of conspiricy (the loonier the better).
I would recommend arsene Lupin over Sherlock Holmes, much more fun. But if you do choose Sherlock, a good one is Hounds of Baskerville.
