I woke up this morning...

to discover our kitchen sink in the front yard.

Nice warning there, mum.

I've discovered it's rather hellish to live in a construction zone. Not that I didn't know this before, but it's made worse when it's the kitchen under construction.

Especially when your mother decides, almost a month before work even begins, to pack up the kitchen, not thinking we may actually NEED some of the items now stored in the garage, like spatulas and pans.

I'm getting tired of living off frozen food and paper plates. I just want this done and over with.

On the plus side, I finally got mum to accept my rough sketch of the mural to be painted on the kitchen wall.

Now if they would just finish it so I can get to work.
