That's a death benefit, from Social Security. Info here and here.

I got $250 when my mom died, so the benefit amount has gone up. Huh.

I had thought I already recieved that, but maybe not. I've gotten so many small amounts all over the place that I've lost track.

Nope, I got that ages ago...maybe it's like Stasia said and it's the death benifit...I guess I didn't pay attention to what money came when (I've had a lot of donations, benifits, etc coming in over the months to help me out so I lost track).
